Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly-funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and ‘close the gap’ between them and their peers. We would encourage all parents and carers to contact us – in confidence – if you think your child may be eligible for additional school funding; this could have a significant impact on their achievement and wellbeing.

Schools will receive £1,455 for pupils in Reception year to Year 6 if they have been registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years.

Schools will also receive £2,530 for each pupil who has left local-authority care because of one of the following:

• Adoption

• Special guardianship order

• Child arrangements order

• Residence order
