Here at St. Norbert’s we use three main maths tools to help us learn. Power Maths, MyMaths.co.uk and Maths Makes Sense.
Maths
Power Maths
We use Power Maths, a whole-class mastery programme designed to spark curiosity and excitement and help children to develop confidence in mathematics.
Power Maths has been judged by the Department for Education to meet the core criteria for high quality textbooks.
MyMaths
We set Mathematics homework using an online resource – My Maths.
This approach has worked very well at our school, giving children the opportunity to revise more difficult concepts by incorporating a ‘learning’ phase before the actual homework task is completed.
Where children find accessing the internet difficult, we provide opportunities for them to complete their homework in other ways.

Maths Makes Sense
We are proud to continue using the Maths Makes Sense approach to teaching more abstract mathematical concepts at our school.
This approach has proven itself to be highly effective.
