Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to St Norbert’s Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy. Ours is a happy, busy and thriving school community, underpinned by Gospel values and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Children, parents, staff and governors all strive in partnership with each other for excellence . We are proud of our welcoming culture, passion for learning and high standards of behaviour.

As a Rights Respecting School, we promote the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Adults recognise their responsibilities as ‘Duty-Bearers’ so that children can understand their status as ‘Rights-Holders’. We teach children that they achieve dignity when they are able to access their rights.

Although our school is smaller than average, with around 120 children aged 3 to 11, we ‘think big’ and have high aspirations for all of our children and stakeholders. We know that each child is special and we offer a breadth of opportunities for each individual to excel.

We welcome visitors and warmly invite you to come and meet with us to experience what we have to offer.

Our school is named after Saint Norbert – a man who promoted Christ present in the Eucharist. It was the Norbertines who established our church community here in Crowle, which subsequently led to the creation of our school.

This place is deeply rooted in our local history and our work continues to be influenced by this heritage, as well as our Catholic mission.
