Sports Premium

The PE and Sport Premium is designed to help primary schools to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities offered to pupils. Schools are free to choose the best of way using of the money; it is to be used to increase the quality & breadth of PE & Sport provision, as well as increasing participation.

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6.

At Saint Norbert’s, we strive to promote healthy and active lifestyles and aim to provide sporting opportunities for all our pupils. We aim for a measureable and sustained improvement in school PE and sport, underpinned by high-quality teaching that increases participation levels in physical activity, and healthier pupils who are more engaged across the whole curriculum.

Over the coming year we plan to:

– Enhance our already broad range of resources.

– Develop a calendar of intra-school competition in preparation for a School Games Day during the summer term.

– Continue to make after-school sports clubs accessible to all children and maximise participation.

– Further enhance provision by introducing specialist teaching.
