Here in Early Years, we love learning and exploring our indoor and outdoor environment. Our child – initiated learning is vital to our development. We are continually developing our play skills and characteristics of effective learning through independently accessing our open-ended play provision. Take a look at some of the child-initiated learning we have done so far.
We enjoy working with and alongside our friends – throughout the unit – in our learning, developing good communication skills and positive relationships with both adults and children.
As a Rights Respecting school, we are learning that all children have rights. We have our own Class Charter which we are trying hard to follow.
We are working hard on developing our ‘growth mindset’ and we know that although we might not be able to do things yet, we are on our way! This is helping us to develop a positive attitude to our learning, as well as resilience and independence.
We have already welcomed lots of exciting visitors into our school and have impressed them with our fantastic listening skills.
Religious Education in the Early Years
We enjoy visiting Saint Norbert’s Church.
We sometimes go on a ‘special object hunt’ to find different things. For example, the font, the pews and a crucifix.
